Abstract

The Memory of the Heroic Dead on the Family Grave Markers ln connection with the preservation of the memory of soldiers who died a heroic death, customs with a legal content have developed, especially during and after World War l. From among these, the lecture/study is primarily about the texts written on family tombstones, the circumstances of the burial, and, as a hint, about the immortalization of the names of the deceased on some kind of monument by small and large communities. The data was collected in and around Székesfehérvár, mainly in the 1980s.
