Abstract

An Attempt to Interpret a Special Testamentary Provision in the Early Modern Transylvanian Wills Although testaments have long been in the focus of academic interest, there are still questions that are yet to be answered. One example is the disposition in a will where the testator has left certain assets to a person in a redeemable form. ln the present study l will attempt to interpret this particular type of provision on the basis of archival sources.
