Abstract

Caring for Minor Orphans in the Villages of Győr County in the First Half of the 19th Century Using the example of two settlements in Győr county, Kajár and Gyarmat, the study shows how minor orphans were cared for in the Benedictine estates of Szentmárton and the Premontre estates of Csorna in the first half of the 19th century. It briefly talks about the composition of document sets, wills and "fatherly agreements" that influence inheritance, and the operation of the estate's orphan fund; but it also addresses, for example, what happened to the property of the minor orphan after his death.
