Abstract

The aim of my doctoral dissertation is to explore patterns of the blogosphere that has hitherto not received any considerable attention in the realm of Hungarian digital online linguistics. With my dissertation I wish to launch the research on this topic, so I would like to discuss the results of an exploratory investigation. The aim of my research is to analyze the blogs and blogposts of Hungarian bloggers according to a model I have devised in terms of gender and content type (professional blogs, content producing blogs, personal blogs). In the corpus I complied I surveyed altogether 420 posts coming from a total of 84 blogs. The body of texts comprised the last 5 blogposts of 42 male and 42 female bloggers.
