Abstract

In Hungary, as early as in the 19th century several works were published that had a retrospective view and surveyed the earlier attempts in the field of female education, at the same time, although, a number of works have been published on the subject. In this article the author presents an overview of thematic works written mostly in the 19th until the middle of 20th centuries in Hungary. It shows that the exploration of the history of women’s education is an eminent area among the numerous topics of educational and women’s history often researched in previous centuries. Long and short monographs, collection of papers, readers, articles and essays were analyzed about the Hungarian history of girls’ and women’s education, along with some summaries dealing with overall female emancipation from various perspectives. //// En Hungría, ya en el siglo XIX se publicaron varios trabajos que tenían una visión retrospectiva y examinaban al mismo tiempo los intentos anteriores en el campo de la educación femenina, aunque se han publicado varios trabajos sobre el tema. En este artículo, la autora presenta una visión general de las obras sobre esta temática, escritas principalmente en el siglo XIX y hasta mediados del siglo XX, en Hungría. Muestra que la exploración de la historia de la educación de las mujeres es un área eminente entre los numerosos asuntos relativos a la historia de la educación y de las mujeres. Se analizan monografías largas y cortas, una colección de artículos, lectores, artículos y ensayos sobre la historia de la educación de las niñas y las mujeres en Hungría, junto con unos resúmenes que tratan sobre la emancipación femenina general desde varias perspectivas.
